Formed in 2001, Airdance is a pioneering Philippine Contemporary Dance company committed to providing a nurturing environment for creativity and excellence in dance.
The company’s dance school conducts regular classes and a summer workshop at the studio. Intimate performances are also held at the space while the company continues to perform locally and internationally in festivals, collaborations and other events.
Airdance has represented the Philippines at the World Expo in Japan and at the Asia Arts festival in China. Airdance was awarded the "Best Young Contemporary Dance Theater Company in the Philippines" when it won the grand prize the Mindanao Modern Dance Competition in Koronadal City, South Cotabato, in 2004.
Airdance is one of the leading companies in the celebration of the International Dance Week with the Contemporary Dance Map as well as the Wifi Body: Independent Contemporary Dance Festival to be held at the CCP. The company has also been involved in numerous commercial endeavors such as corporate productions, musical events, fashion shows, product launches, TV shows and movies.
The company was recently awarded as the Best Dance Company (Modern) in the 21st ALIW Awards for the 2nd consecutive year.
