Ruby KarenAirdance would like to thank Ms. Ruby Karen and her husband, Luca, of Ruby Karen Project/Orange Country Aerial Arts of Orange Country, California, USA, for conducting an Aerial Tisu (Silk/Cloth) workshop for our company members last November 8, 2010. It was truly an educational and fruitful experience.


Philippine-born Ruby Karen is a veteran in the performing arts industry with 35 years experience in the field of dance, circus aerials, sports, and fitness, having taught and performed continuously in at least 20 countries and 50 cities with repeated invitations. She garnered 3 World Titles, namely, the Ballet Pas de Deux and Acro-Gymnastics partnering from the highly established World Championship of Performing Arts, and The Mayan World Salsa Championship – Professional Division.

Airdance company member Rhosam Prudenciado Jr. wins the Grand Prize at the prestigious Yokohama Dance Collection R Solo x Duo 2009 competition held last February 7, 2009, in Yokohama, Japan. His winning piece, "Which Way?", besting 13 other entries from 6 different countries.


He was awarded the French Embassy prize which grants a 6-month Contemporary Dance study grant in Paris, France.

Airdance company member and Hip-hop/Streetdance teacher Reagan Cornelio was part of the Philippine All-stars who won their 2nd World Hip-hop Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, last August 3, 2008


Reagan was also part of the winning group that won in Torino, Italy, and Los Angeles, USA.

Airdance was awarded as the country's Best Modern Dance Group in the 21st ALIW Awards last November 11, 2008, at the Manila Hotel Fiesta Pavilion. This is the 2nd consecutive year that Airdance was awarded this prestigious honor.

Airdance is pleased to announce that the Company has been awarded as the "Best Young Contemporary Dance Theater Company of the Philippines", having won 1st place in the 3rd Mindanao Modern Dance Competition held last July 17, 2004, in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

The competition, held as part of the celebrated T'nalak Festival, was organized by Provincial Government of South Cotabato in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). It featured dance companies representing several regions from all over the country. Airdance was chosen to represent the National Capital Region (NCR).

Airdance performed excerpts from its show Indios Bravos as choreographed by Dwight Rodrigazo and directed by Paul Morales. The performers included Dwight Rodrigazo, Vinia Pamplona, Nordic Caraig, Proceso Gelladuga II, Reagan Cornelio, Marius Centino, Laurencio Solano and Jethro Pioquinto.
